The Jim Green Baobab Boot in Houston Brown is a celebration of 30 years of boot making. It is a unique and comfortable boot that combines the functional appeal of the Razorback and African Ranger. The durable single piece vamp from the Razorback combines with the lace-up system of the African Ranger to give you a combination like no other that will hold up on any adventure and withstand daily wear. The boot features a leather lasting board that gradually takes to the shape of your feet and adds extra comfort and durability over time. The Mini Lug and molded EVA sole combination takes the comfort of this boot to another level while still offering the ruggedness of a rubber sole.Key

  • Material: Double layer of leather (2.2mm oily nubuck leather, lined with 1.6mm calf leather)
  • ASHM Last:  Standard D width
  • Water Resistance: Double layer of leather aids in the boot's water-resistant properties, properly greased, the shoe is waterproof
  • Toe Puff and Heel Stiffener: Thermoplastic toe puff and a heel stiffener for extra support
  • Midsole: Secured to the upper with a double-stitched 2.2mm braided nylon cord
  • Sole: Genuine rubber and molded EVA for added comfort
  • Construction: Stitchdown construction - Can be resoled

We ship freight-free with DHL within Germany for purchases over €50. For a small additional charge, we also ship by express with UPS. You will be given this option during the checkout process before purchase.

We ship with DHL or UPS within Europe. Freight costs will be calculated at checkout depending on your location . You can also choose DHL or UPS at checkout.

We charge local VAT on the purchase price. Since we are a German shop, we display our prices with our local VAT of 19%. In some European countries, the VAT is slightly higher and this is added to the price.

Excellent.

Efficiently delivered to UK, no issues, great communication. Brilliant boot, oiling and breaking in produced a very comfortable boot in under a week, used daily. Good ankle support for walking without being overly cumbersome or heavy. Three weeks into ownership and developing lovely patina, have been used for many miles of walking in a variety of terrains.
Minor drawbacks - couple of areas of stitching round tongue gusset allow water ingress, would have thought design should have enhanced water resistance, but given not a goretex lined waterproof boot only a minor issue. Leather heel pull tab beginning to tear, perhaps I should be more gentle and am now, but can imagine in future will require restitiching. Again more of a small annoyance.
Overall very pleased and would highly recommend.

10/10 Definitely worth the wait

It took quite some time to get my pair, but definitely worth the wait, also the people from the store answer quickly which I appreciate it a lot! 10/10 would buy again!
